Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is a thick, premium-grade rubber splicing tape composed of a self-fusing ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) backing on a removable polyethylene liner. For best results when using this tape, apply it in successive, half-lapped layers by highly stretching it reducing the tape width to a minimum of 34 the original width throughout the entire application until the required build-up is reached to produce a uniform winding. Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is self-certified to ASTM D4388 Type III and is ROHS compliant; for more compliance information, visit www.3m.com/regs.
